Breast expanders are primarily used for reconstruction after breast cancer. They are inserted like an implant, but only temporarily, in order to successively stretch the tissue to form an implant pocket after breast removal, and provide the optimum space for the reconstruction of the breast.

Initially, an expander is just an empty shell with a built-in or remote valve. This shell is gradually filled through the valve with saline solution. Through the slow expansion of the patient's breast tissue, a breast mound is formed into which an implant can be placed.

In Dieburg, Germany, POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics manufactures expanders in different sizes and shapes for a variety of purposes. Anatomically shaped breast expanders, for example, significantly improve the aesthetic result of breast reconstruction.

We are the only company that produces expanders to exactly fit the shape of the subsequent long-term implant.
